Questions are Welcome
A clear look at the conversations, the Stories they become, and what your family can keep.
Getting started
A simple way to begin, whether the Story is for you or someone you love.
What is EverKnown?
EverKnown guides Storytellers through video conversations that preserve their memories, stories, and experiences—capturing the person behind the memories. Conversations become written stories and videos your family can return to for generations.
Who is EverKnown for?
EverKnown is for people who want to preserve their own stories, and for families who want to help someone they love share theirs. Parents, grandparents, partners, and loved ones all have experiences worth remembering. You do not need to be a writer or have an extraordinary life to begin.
How do I start?
Select Get Started, choose a package for yourself or as a gift, and follow the simple account and Storyteller setup steps. From your Story Home, you can prepare a few topics and begin your first conversation.
Is this like writing a memoir?
Yes—the goal is similar, but you tell your story through conversation instead of writing it yourself. EverKnown helps turn your memories into written Stories while preserving your voice, expressions, and original recordings.
Do I need to do everything at once?
No. Your story can unfold over several conversations, at your own pace. Start with one memory or chapter of your life and return whenever you have more to share.
Can I sign in with my phone number?
Yes. Select Phone on the Sign In page and follow the text verification steps. You can also use the email or Google options shown. Phone sign-in availability varies by region.
Purchases & support
Prices, digital access, and help with purchases.
What do the packages cost?
All prices are in USD. Single Storyteller packages cost $119 for Starter, $199 for Standard, or $249 for Premium for the initial service year. Couple packages cost $219, $349, or $449 respectively, total for two Storytellers. These are the current promotional initial prices; the selected package and total are shown before payment. Purchasing is currently limited to invited testers.
How do annual renewals work?
All three sizes renew at $99 per year for Single or $189 per year total for Couple. The service year begins on first activation or 60 days after purchase, whichever comes first. Both Storytellers in a Couple package share one service year. Renewal is automatic until canceled; the renewal terms are shown before purchase. Tester-code purchases do not create automatic renewals.
How do I request a cancellation, refund, or help with a charge?
For help canceling a future renewal, requesting a refund, or resolving a billing dispute, email admin@everknown.co. Include the email used for the purchase and an order reference if available; do not send card details. Cancellation prevents future renewal and ordinarily does not refund the current billing period. Except where otherwise stated or required by law, fees are non-refundable once services have been materially performed or production has begun. The Terms of Service explain the full policy.
How is the service delivered?
EverKnown is a digital service accessed online in your browser. Your account and Storyteller setup lead to the private Story Home, where you can record conversations and use the included features. Recordings, written Stories, and family media are accessed in your private collection; this package does not involve shipping physical goods. Email admin@everknown.co if you need help with purchase confirmation or access.
Conversations & recording
The conversation happens in the browser the Storyteller already has.
Does the Storyteller need to be comfortable with technology?
No. EverKnown walks you through getting started, checking your camera and microphone, and beginning your conversation. It works in your browser, with no app to install. A family member can help with setup if you would like.
Do I need special equipment?
No. A recent phone, tablet, or computer with a camera, microphone, and reliable internet connection is enough. Choose a quiet, comfortable place with light in front of you so your family can see and hear you clearly.
How long is a conversation?
Conversations typically last between 30–60 minutes. You can have a shorter conversation or finish when you feel ready; there is no need to cover everything in one sitting.
What does the AI Story Guide do?
Your Guide gently leads you through your life journey, exploring its different chapters, the people who shaped you, and the experiences that matter. It asks thoughtful questions, listens to your answers, and follows up to bring out details, feelings, and connections. It helps your story unfold naturally, one conversation at a time.
Does EverKnown invent stories or put words in someone’s mouth?
No. EverKnown builds Stories from the memories and experiences you share. AI helps organize and polish your words, rather than inventing your life story. It can still make mistakes, so you can review the written Story and check it against your original recording.
Can we redo an answer or skip a question?
Yes. Simply tell your Guide you would like to answer again, correct something, or move on. You can also return to a topic in a later conversation. Answering again does not erase the earlier recording.
Stories & media
Words, recordings, and family media remain together in one private place.
What exactly will the family receive?
A private collection of written Stories, video conversation recordings, and transcripts, with photographs and other family material you add. You can gather selected Stories in your Digital Book and share Stories with the family members you choose.
Can family photographs and videos be included?
Yes. Photographs, home videos, documents, and audio can all become part of your family collection and help bring your Stories to life. Use Upload Content to add them, within your package’s storage allowance.
Can I upload old photographs?
Yes. Scan an old photograph or take a clear digital copy, then add it through Upload Content. A familiar face, place, or occasion can be a wonderful starting point for a conversation.
Do you alter old photographs?
Only if you choose to. The photo tools can restore a photograph or restore and colorize it, creating a separate version for you to review. Your uploaded original stays unchanged. AI-generated details and colors are interpretations, so you can compare the result with the original before deciding which to use.
Where do I find the recording and transcript?
In your Story Library. Open the saved conversation or Story to find its recording and transcript. After a conversation finishes, these may take a little time to appear while EverKnown prepares them.
Will EverKnown make a film?
Not as a finished documentary or edited film today. Your video conversations are saved, and we are exploring ways to bring them together into future films. Edited films are not currently included with your package.
Family & sharing
A Story can begin with one person and welcome family contributions over time.
Can family members take part?
Yes. Loved ones can suggest questions and wishes, and read or watch the Stories you share with them. Add them through Family & contributors, where you choose whether each person can contribute questions, view Stories, or both.
Does everyone need to live nearby?
No. Family members can contribute questions and enjoy shared Stories from wherever they live, using their own EverKnown access. The Storyteller can have their conversations from the comfort of home.
Can multiple people suggest questions?
Yes. Several family members can contribute questions and wishes. Their different perspectives can help bring back memories and uncover stories another generation would love to hear. You choose which suggestions to explore with your Guide.
Who can watch the finished material?
The people you give viewing access to. In Family & contributors, choose who can view your shared Stories. They follow their invitation or authorized Story link and complete the access steps shown. Private recordings, transcripts, and drafts are not automatically included in family viewing access.
Can the collection keep growing?
Yes. Each new conversation can add more memories, Stories, and detail to your family collection. You can also add photographs and other material over time, within your package’s conversation time and storage allowance.
Will my family receive a text when a Story is ready?
Not yet. Automatic Story-ready texts and conversation reminders are being prepared, but are not active today. Family members can use their existing EverKnown viewing access to open the Stories you have shared.
Can relatives comment on a shared Story?
Not yet. Comments, replies, and reactions are planned for shared Stories. For now, relatives with contribution access can send questions and wishes for future conversations.
Privacy & account
Family stories are personal; privacy and control should be clear.
Is my EverKnown public?
No. Your collection is private by default. Your Stories are not public profiles or searchable public pages, and you choose which family members can view shared Stories. The Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled.
Can I take my content with me?
Yes. Your content belongs to you, and you can request an export of your Stories, transcripts, recordings, photographs, and documents. Use the export options available in your account, or contact Support for help. Access after your subscription ends depends on the applicable storage and retention terms, so it is a good idea to keep your own copies too.
What is EverKnown Generational Archive?
It is a longer-term preservation service we are developing to help families care for their Stories and original materials over time. It is not available as an add-on yet; details and pricing are still being finalized.
Who owns my family’s recordings and Stories?
You keep ownership of the original content you provide. EverKnown helps record, organize, and present it under the permissions explained in the Terms of Service. You should have permission to use any photographs or recordings contributed by someone else.
Can I remove something from a Story?
Yes. You can edit the written Story to remove something before sharing it. That does not remove it from the original recording or transcript. Contact Support if you need help removing original material or making a deletion request.
Is the purchaser always the Storyteller?
No. You can buy EverKnown for yourself or give it to someone you love. When it is a gift, the recipient is the Storyteller and chooses who can see their private Stories. The purchaser does not automatically receive viewing access.
Where can I find the legal documents that apply to me?
Select Privacy Policy or Terms of Service in the footer of the website. They explain how your information is handled and the terms that apply to your account, purchases, and content.
AI Story Guides
A familiar voice and a thoughtful pace can make it easier to begin.
What is an AI Story Guide?
An AI Story Guide is a conversational companion that helps you tell your life story. It uses artificial intelligence to ask questions, listen, and explore your memories with you, following your life’s chapters and the details that make your experiences your own.
Can I choose a Guide?
Yes. You can listen to voice samples and choose from the Guides offered when you prepare for your conversation. Pick the one you feel most comfortable talking with.
Does a Guide replace my family’s role?
No. Your family brings the personal connections and questions that make your story meaningful to them. The Guide helps you explore and record those memories, giving your family more to discover and enjoy together.
Can a family member join the conversation?
Yes. A family member can sit beside you, offer reassurance, or help with the device. The conversation is centered on one Storyteller; joining remotely as a group call is not currently supported. Anyone who takes part should understand and agree that they are being recorded.
What if the Storyteller needs a break?
Just let the Guide know you need a moment. If you would rather stop for the day, finish the conversation and return another time. Wait for the recording to show as saved before closing the page.
